Ok… this Is a quite advanced technique and I posted mostly as a bookmark form Myself…
You will need this to control how the light will interact with your materials in your blender – cycles scene..
I’m gonna experiment with this settings mostly to achieve the “perfect” look for my upcoming short movie “Odysseus – Nobody” , but you could actually need even for your architectonic rendering ..
What we see in the real life are not objects themselves, but the refraction of the light on them … so, think how this can be important in a 3d rendering engine, that is nothing else than the artificial recreation of our vision…
This tutorial, from blendercookie, is about the material node “light path node” … If you ignore what is a node, I recommend you to start with some basic tutorials…
Electronic Art and Electronic Cigarette : A Very interesting parallelism. As the traditional bohemian stereotyped artist is supposed to wear a scarf, and to smoke the pipe or some hand rolled cigarettes , The Electronic artist is supposed to vape the electronic cigarette. This is a quote, so, is not something can be discussed. Pure … Continue reading The Electronic Cigarette→

Despite being quite old, this piece, from 2005, seems still quite actual, in his cotrovertial style.
But I’m really sick of it.
Really need to find some energy, time, and mental space to finish my new movie.
Sweet Jellyfishes….. These animals are something magic… Elegant and a bit scary, they seem flying instead of swimming. They are somehow matching my vision about Art. Why? I’m not a curator… from http://blog.kurageart.com/post/70434856008/sweet-jellyfishes-these-animals-are-something

Russian avant garde is a term that aims to cover the art produced in Russia ( actually the Russian Empire, or the Soviet Union ) between 1890 and 1930 … although some place its beginning as early as 1850 and its end as late as 1960. The term covers many separate, but inextricably related, art movements that occurred at the time; namely Neo-primitivism, suprematism, constructivism, and futurism.
Even is the Ideal are quite different from those expressed in Italian Futurism, it is quite impossible not noticing visual similarities and simply not admiring these artworks.
Most of film related to this form of art were produced for Propaganda : spreading and consolidating the image of the empire in Russian Citizens.
Even if the scope of Propaganda wasn’t in-line with moderns democratic values , I believe that the art produced was simply astonishing , and have been a pioneer in modern visual communication – advertisement techniques.
The film published on this page is not actually a real propaganda product.. since is produced by the National Film Board of Canada .. but it features the graphics used during the period and entertains the views by interesting motion graphics – musical synesthesia.
Here, an actual poster from Russian Propaganda:
